Winter: Winter in Kashmir is a five month season but the real winter is experienced in the December 21 to January 31. Even through the trees have a bare look and the beauty of the hued gardens no longer catches the eye, there is an altogether different charm in the surroundings, which presents Srinagar in yet another mood. Bare, snow-covered landscapes are a joy that cannot be described to anyone who has not experienced it.

The best time to visit Kashmir is December to February in winters. The top tourist places in Kashmir like Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Pahalgam and Srinagar, appears all molded in the snow. The whole surrounding or valley is covered with a blanket of snow. The sight is totally mesmerizing. Life comes to a halt during winters as one can`t find too many people around.
